The Lim Hoon Foundation is a private charitable trust established in 2008. We champion educational excellence from primary school through university, with a focus on students from low-income families.
We believe quality education is a right, not a privilege. Financial circumstances shouldn't limit potential. Through scholarships and support, we level the playing field and empower young people to become tomorrow's leaders.

Our Patron
The Foundation honors Lim Hoon, father of our founder and Chairman, Mr John Lim.
Lim Hoon dedicated his life to Singapore's early education system. He served as a teacher at Tao Nan School from the 1950s until his retirement in 1970. Even then, he continued mentoring his grandchildren, championing holistic education at a time when entering the workforce early was the norm.
His legacy lives on through all six of his children, including daughters Helen and Janet, who followed in his footsteps as educators at Tao Nan School for over twenty years. Their success stands as testament to the transformative power of education. We believe quality education is a right, not a privilege. Financial circumstances shouldn't limit potential. Carrying forward Lim Hoon’s legacy, this Foundation provides equal access to education for students whose circumstances would otherwise deny them.
